(tycoo) Creating areas for widgets at the Homepage?

Hi
there´s a widget, generating flipboxes, which I want to place at the Homepage of the Tycoo theme without using sidebars. Is it possible to widgetize special areas (sectors, rows, columns) at the Homepage layout by less coding?
