  • Hello dear support. For my theme Crumbs on WordPress, I can not scroll in Google Chrome browser for some time. However, in a different browsers like Firefox it works. I deleted the cache in Chrome, and all plugins on WordPress disabled. It still does not work in Chrome. Can you help me please. With another theme it works in Chrome again, just not with the crumbs. Greetings Philipp

    Hi,

we checked it with Chrome browser, but there was no problem. Does the problem occur only on your website or also on our demo website? What version (of Chrome) do you use?

Hello dear support! The scrolling works only with me on the website, and only in the Chrome not, in Firefox it functions perfectly. If I install a different theme then the scrolling function also works in Chrome again. In Firefox it works, but not in Chrome. If I change the theme then it works in Chrome again.

    Hi all,

ok, seems there is a javascript problem, checked that already with Chrome, but we use a special developer version and on our end it works.

For me it sounds like a problem with the smooth scroll jQuery plugin we used for the themes. We will check it again and as soon we found the problem (or the solution), we will write another post in this thread

my guys worked it out.. here is what they did

    1. find the file: \7league\callscripts.php

    2. put a comment to hide this line:

    wp_register_script( ‘seven_plugins’, get_template_directory_uri().’/script/plugins.js’,”,”,TRUE );

    this worked for us……
    thanks
    serena

sorry for not waiting for your solution, but i wouldnt put up a website that doesn’t have full functionality and would lose us customers….

if we couldn’t get it working by yesterday, it was another theme to be used..

    Hi Serena,

yes, in this file is integrated a jQuery plugin that (we think so) cause the problem with the most recent Chrome release. We still searching for a solution to make it work both, the smooth scrolling together with Chrome, maybe we can solve the problem.

you obviously didn’t read that we actually already solved the problem above….. if I had to wait for you guys to get it sorted, I would have given up on the theme and gone and gotten another one, as I said i wont use a theme that could lose us customers. so for us, problem solved.. so you can go searching all you like….. not sure why the above doesnt give you the solution already.. am I missing something here???

@serena carli: das ist ein super Ansatz nur leider zerschießt die Auskommentierung mein Design. Zu mindestens wissen wir nun das es etwas mit der plugins.js Datei zu tun hat. Vielen Dank

We checked all plugins we used for the themes, and found the problem. It is the “Smooth scroll” plugin that seems to be not compatible with the most recent Chrome release. We talked to the jQuery plugin developer and he told us that there was already a problem with a Chrome release, but de facto it was a problem with the Chrome release, not with the plugin. Some days after Chrome fixed it with another release. Looks like this time it is the same event.

To remove the plugin, you can open the file “plugins.js” in the folder “script and remove the plugin by deleting line 7 – 26 (starting with “/* SCROLL */ ” and ending with “window.addEventListener(“mousewheel”, H, !1), window.addEventListener(“load”, k, !1));” )
