  • After updating to WordPress 5.5 the mobile menu on the site no longer works. Can you help us out with that?

    Thanks!
    Derek

    Hi Derek,

sounds like a Javascript problem. Can you send us the link to your website with the problem, then we can check the javascript console for the problem. Thank you.

Here is the link to the site:

    Thanks!!

Thank you for the link to your website. We found the problem: the most recent WordPress release + a plugin we used for the menu.

WordPress removed the automatic jQuery migration in version 5.5, this can cause problems. You can install this plugin, it’s made by WordPress to fix the problems with the 5.5 update:

Normally this should solve the problem.

Works great thanks!! Will there be an update for the theme coming out or will WordPress 5.5.1 resolve this?

No, unfortunately version 5.5.1 will not solve the problem, quite the contrary! We already made updates for all our themes, during the final test we noticed that it’s not working again. After several hours of research we found out that WordPress changed again the slug for the jQuery framework from “jquery” back to “jquery-core” (the same slug they used before version 5.5). This means, all our updated themes were working with version 5.5, but not with 5.5.1. Now we have to update all our themes again. That’s not funny, but we cannot change it. The updates will be available very soon.
