No Updates tab in the Dashboard of Cucina Theme

I have had this theme installed for a little while and after I wanted to update to WordPress 4.6 I found out I am not able to, at least the normal way.

The updates option under the dashboard tab does not exist, just home. Have you seen this before?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi Chad,

please check this option:

WP admin -> Appearance -> Theme Options -> General -> Customize WordPress -> Hide WordPress (checkbox). If this checkbox is checked, all WordPress logos, links and references are hidden, also the WordPress Update notice. As soon you uncheck the checkbox, it will work again
