google map pins not filtering category

We have our properties setup as one of two categories(for lease or for sale). When we display a page that has a google map, the pins on the map for both shows on the map even though the grid or list has filtered the properties correctly. How can we filter it so only the chosen category shows the pins on the map?

what theme do you use? Can you send us a link to the page with the problem? Normally it should show only the entries from the list / grid below the map…
