This topic contains 1 reply, has 2 voices, and was last updated by 7Theme Support 8 years ago.
Hello,
I am having issues with running a few of my plugins and they seem to have a problem because jquery is not running. If I understand the wordpress documentation jquery is supposed to be running by default? When I go inside chrome and go to the console and type in JQuery I get an undefined error. Is there something in the Theme that could be turning this off. I have tried to disable every plugin and it does not make a difference. The plugin I am trying to use in Easy Fancybox and it is not working properly. I also get a brief message about jquery not running flash on my screen when my maps open but then the maps load properly and they still work. I loaded a plugin called Ultimate Social Media Plus and it loads jquery on my homepage only. I need it running throughout my site http://luciano.valkeryie.com
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Jon,
the Cucina theme doesnt change the jQuery files, we use always the included jQuery files from WordPress itself. So I think the problem is not the theme, I think the problem are the plugins. Many plugins out there change the default jQuery files to CDN hostet jQuery files, and this could cause the problem.
We checked you website and saw the jQuery is loaded, but it’s not the jQuery file delivered by WordPress, looks like a plugins deregistered the original file and included jQuery via CDN… In this case you can only deinstall the plugin, because the problem is the plugin, not the theme…
