Hello Team,
Thanks for such a nice theme. I really like it…but somehow I’m lost. How can I customize the contact form (more fields) and how do I get the google map on the page.

Hi Bridget,

the included form is only a fast and simple solution if you need a simple contact form. If you need a more customizable contact form you need a plugin, i.e. Contact Form 7, it’s free and works great. You can search and install it in WP admin -> Plugins -> Add new.

For the Google Map: We included a shortcode, but since some month you have to set up a Google API key to use it, and it’s really very complicated. It’s much easier for you to use the Google Maps embed code. Please go to the Google Maps website, search for the place you want to show on your map and click the burger menu on the top left of the page -> Share & Embed, then copy and paste the embed code to your page.

Thanks for the quick response. I actually got the google map up and running 🙂 It took me some time but it seems to work. Contact: got it.

Question: ‘M working with WordPress. Do I need a child theme to work with or am I save to go a ahead with the actual theme? Thanks again.

Hi Bridget,

we recommend you to set up a child theme only if you really know what you do. Generally, you don’t need a child theme, only if you make changes in the PHP files of the theme we recommend creating a child theme, but only if you know how it works.
