Changing Home page to Home + Parallax Header

Hi guys

I have 2 questions.

1) I want to change my home page to “Home + Parallax Header” to speed up my loading times but can find the section to update the Parallax Header text.

also the lower image seems to not auto size and I cant work out how the sort it out

Hi Mark,

you mean the page with the parallax header that comes with the demo content, right? In this case, please take a look at the settings box below the editor when you edit the page -> Slideshow tab -> Custom Content, there you can change the text.

I’m not really sure what you mean, can you send us a screenshot or the link to the page with the problem? Thank you!

Hi, i cant find this option

Thank you for the screenshots, no it’s clear what you mean. I checked your older posts and found your URL, so I was able to see the problem on your website. The picture you use is very small (1000px x 469px) that’s why it does not cover the screen.

The text on the slider pictures you can change in the slider settings, WP admin -> Appearance -> Allslider, open the settings (gear icon), there you can change the headlines for the slides

how do I download the original demo content again. I wanted to add the original image back in to the media library to make sure the image is the right size.

I think when you download again the demo content it will overwrite your existing content. If you want, you can download the image and upload it on your website and change it in the shortcode. Here is the link to the image:

Strangely the size of the image is the same ?

Dimensions: 1000 by 469 pixels

No, it’s 1920 by 900 pixels, we checked it again. You can check the size with Google Chrome developer tools.

Yes agreed after checking the download its it’s 1920 by 900 pixels, when I upload to the site its getting reduced in size and I cant increase it back to its original size..

I have changed the large photo size to max 1920 x 1000 but I still cant increase the size as it has a ! when I pick the file size

Do you use an image optimizing plugin? For me, it sounds like there is a function that crops the images while uploading them. Please deactivate all your plugins and try it again, I’m sure the problem is caused by a plugin.

Hi,

I have switched off ALL plug in’s and I still cant increase the size to 1920×900. I’ve notice its happened to all Allsider images aswell.

Please help.

Ok, really strange! Can you send us ( info @ 7theme . net) a login for your website, then we can take a look at it.
