  • In the Carina theme I am not able to change the blog template. It allows me to change it in the page editing however it does not actually make the change on my website.

I would like to be able to use the 2 column setup that is displayed in the demo site; I’m guessing that is the “blog grid” template. However like I said changing the template on my designated blog page does not reflect any changes on the site.

Any input would be fairly beneficial!

    Hi,

do you try to add content to the page? Because that’s not possible, this page template will always show only the most recent blog posts.

Exactly, it is this page template. But what exactly is not working? Can you send us the link to the page with the problem?

There is no content on the blog page within the page editor. The page templates do not seem to be working.

Here is a link to the page.

The current blog template is set to “blog grid” however as you can see on the site that is not the template being displayed.

Here is a screen shot of the page in the wordpress admin panel.

the link didn’t show up for some reason. Here it is:

Found the problem, you’ve choosen this page as WordPress blog page (WP Settings -> Reading -> Front Page displays -> posts page). For those pages WordPress will overwrite all settings, you cannot customize this page. Please remove this page as posts page, then it’s working without any problem.

Thank you for the quick reply; that solved this issue!

    Ok, great! 🙂
