I dont think it’s a problem with the theme, because if icons are broken then it sounds like a problem with the url itself.

I cannot use this theme as intended, and there is no way to make it look like it does in the demo.

Of course you can, you can install the demo content to make it looks like the demo website, our themes comes always with the demo content for free as xml file.

Please send me the link to your website, then we can check the problem with the icons and help you to solve the problem.
