do you try to add content to the page? Because that’s not possible, this page template will always show only the most recent blog posts.

I would like to be able to use the 2 column setup that is displayed in the demo site; I’m guessing that is the “blog grid” template.

Exactly, it is this page template. But what exactly is not working? Can you send us the link to the page with the problem?
